TEAM Kicks Off ‘Toy Store’ Opening with Help from Neopost, a Local Provider of Postage Meters
Nonprofit organization, TEAM (Training, Education, and Manpower, Inc) operates a Christmas shopping event for its client’s and their families. TEAM accepts donations in order to put on the event and help the families it works with to have an enjoyable Christmas. More than 40 volunteers help coordinate the event. Volunteers include students from local high schools and others that are close to the organization.
Employees of Neopost, a local provider of mailing systems and a manufacturer of postage meters, were happy to be a part of the event. The volunteers from Neopost rose over $12,000 to help benefit the drive. The monies were spent to purchase 244 bicycles to be used in the TEAM “Bikes for Tikes” program. The program uses a lottery system to distribute the bikes to the families involved within the organization. Neopost employees were happy to be able to help these children have a gift on the Christmas holiday.
Community members, local volunteers and other local fundraisers all joined together to help donate funds and toys to help make the program a success. The Seymour Police Department “stuff a cruiser” event helped bring in close to 800 additional toys that were also used by the program. Neopost employees and other volunteers were truly happy to help make a successful event and felt good knowing that they were able to help children and families in need.
