The IJ-15K combines an advanced ink system with IBI-Lite technology, which utilizes less ink per impression and results in a longer lasting supply and significantly less expense. Additionally, the IJ-15K supports two print modes - Presort and Letterbox. Both of these print modes use blue ink, rather than the traditional florescent red ink, to further drive down costs.
The IJ-15K optimizes productivity by providing high cycling speed and mixed weight capabilities without a reduction in speed when electronically connected to a PFI. This eliminates the costly need for multiple tandem meters. Users are also provided with the option of presetting up to ten postage values based on size and weight, and tracking postage costs for up to 500 departments.
Unlike competitive systems, the Neopost system can be electronically interfaced to third-party vendor-supported production folder inserters from Bowe Bell+Howell. Neopost and Bowe Bell+Howell have established exclusive partnerships to support the IJ-15K.
Once the systems are interfaced, the PFI communicates on-the-fly mixed mail size information to the IJ-15K which can switch instantly between three postage job settings for accurate postage metering. Conversely, the systems can automatically stop operation in case of low-ink levels, jams, and cleaning cycles. This unique interface flexibility equates to an efficient, fully-automated production system.
