Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) ensures security of mail items through by scanning documents and capturing data for intelligent coding at predetermined positions on a page. The position of each intelligent mark on the page act as stop and go commands instructing the machine on security and/or to perform a function like start, accumulate, selectively feed an enclosure, divert or insert.

If errors are detected in the sequencing of the mail item, the document is redirected to one of two divert stations, and on some models the system can be set to keep flowing. If there is a power outage, the programming memory remains securely stored, providing quick project recovery and complete integrity of your critical business documents.
